The Family Guy episode aired on Nov. 24 took an unlikely dark route when one of the shows main beloved characters, Brian Griffin, met his end. Quite the "WTF" moments in TV history, especially on the count of the show's massive satirical theme and relentless comedic overtone. Other than the fact that main characters simply don't just die in this show, it's also a animated series! What possible purpose/function can the death of this key character serve 12 seasons deep?
Although one must question; has the alcoholic canine truly met his demise? Or have we all just fell prey to Seth Macfarlane's sick and twisted tall tale?
Despite the circumstance, the episode illustrating Brian's fatal accident was plenty real.
Brutally mowed down by an oncoming vehicle, Brian is quickly swept to the emergency room where he faces his final moments. Fan of the series or not, getting choked up during this scene is quite expected.
Rumors have surfaced recently, exposing that Brian will make a return in the next coming episode. Fallacy? Maybe. Time will reveal.
It also seems Brian's mourning was short lived, considering the introduction of the new dog of the family. Vinny :).
